A CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO ALL NURSES
Johannesburg – May 12 2021, the Consortium for Refugees and Migrants in South Africa (CoRMSA), on behalf of the migrant, refugee and asylum seeker communities, joins the world in congratulating, observing, and commemorating the International Nurses Day. The theme for year 2021 is “A Voice to Lead – A vision for future healthcare.’
This is a great mile stone in your health professional lives, for it means you are right behind our well-being. Like other health care workers as nurses, regardless of your and patient’s nationality or documentations status, you are at the forefront of fighting the Covid-19 pandemic across the globe. Your contribution to the health care system in both the country of origin and host countries has not been an easy task, but you still remained firm and continue fight hard for our health. We hope you know how much CoRMSA recognises and appreciates your work in the health sector, especially your contribution towards the Covid-19 pandemic. CoRMSA would also like to extend its gratitude to all asylum seeker, refugee and migrant nurses who have joined all nurses in their host countries and the world at large and committed themselves tirelessly in fighting Covid-19 for the welfare of all people including migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. Your dedication, energy and sacrifice for this achievement will always be treasured.
To express our jubilation, CoRMSA, would like to send a big “THANK YOU” as a way of showing how proud we are because of your endless lifesaving efforts. Always remember that as part of the migrants, refugees and asylum seekers’ community, we cherish your endeavours and we aspire to give you all the support you need in making sure your human rights are promoted and protected.
